Ingredients

  • 4 cups cold milk
  • Two 3.5-ounce packages of instant vanilla pudding mix
  • Two 21-ounce cans of Lucky Leaf® premium or organic apple fruit filling or topping
  • 1 cup of English toffee bits
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 loaf of frozen pound cake, thawed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 1/4 cups caramel ice cream topping
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream, whipped
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts, toasted
  • Additional caramel ice cream topping

Instructions

  • Begin by cutting the thawed pound cake into 1-inch cubes, ensuring it’s dense enough to absorb flavors without becoming soggy.
  • Mixing the pudding involves combining whole milk with instant vanilla pudding mix. Whisk until smooth, ensuring no lumps remain, and let the prominent vanilla aroma fill the air.
  • Layer the cake cubes at the bottom of the trifle bowl, pressing gently to create an even base for the layers above. Spoon the apple fruit filling over the cake, distributing evenly to let the sweet-tart aroma invite you in.
  • Construct the mousse by gently folding cinnamon into the whipped cream, maintaining a fluffy texture. Spread this over the apples for added depth.
  • Assemble the layers by drizzling caramel sauce over the mousse, followed by a sprinkle of English toffee bits. Repeat layering until all ingredients are used.
  • Finish by topping with toasted walnuts and a drizzle of caramel. Chill for at least 2 hours to let the trifle become visually stunning and packed with contrasting textures.
