Ingredients
1 pound ground turkey
2 cups bread crumbs
1 cup cooked cranberries
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Sauté the chopped onion in a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat for 4-5 minutes until translucent. Add the minced garlic during the last minute, cooking just until fragrant.
Combine the ground turkey, bread crumbs, cooked cranberries, sautéed onion and garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
Mix everything thoroughly using your hands until well incorporated.
Form the mixture into golf ball-sized portions (about 2 tablespoons each), rolling between your palms to create smooth, round balls.
Arrange the stuffing balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
Bake for 22-25 minutes until the stuffing balls are golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Serve immediately while hot, garnished with additional fresh parsley and accompanied by your favorite gravy for dipping or drizzling.
Notes
Cold hands, perfect balls: Run your hands under cold water before forming the stuffing balls.
Cranberry preparation matters: Roughly chop your cooked cranberries instead of using them whole.
Don’t skip the sauté: Properly cooking the onions and garlic makes an enormous difference.
Test for seasoning: Cook a small test patty in a pan to check the seasoning.
Perfect moisture balance: Adjust moisture if needed by adding bread crumbs or liquid cautiously.
