Ingredients
12 oz package semi-sweet chocolate chips
11 oz package butterscotch chips
1 cup creamy peanut butter
10.5 oz bag mini marshmallows
1 cup M&Ms
Instructions
Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving overhang on the sides for easy removal later.
Combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and creamy peanut butter in a large microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave the mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each interval, until completely melted and smooth.
Cool the melted mixture for about 5 minutes.
Fold in the mini marshmallows, gently stirring until they’re evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
Add most of the M&Ms (reserving a handful) and fold them in with just a few strokes.
Transfer the mixture to your prepared baking dish and spread it evenly with a spatula.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until completely set.
Notes
Heat your chocolate-butterscotch mixture in shorter intervals (20-30 seconds) and stir vigorously between each.
Cooling the melted mixture for exactly 5 minutes creates the perfect temperature.
Refrigerate bars for at least 4 hours before cutting.
Reserve about ¼ cup of M&Ms to sprinkle on top after spreading the mixture.
Use parchment with long overhang “handles” on the long sides of the pan.
